As part of the efforts to promote the engineering profession and to build a strong relationship with potential stakeholders, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Eket branch, embarked on a courtesy visit to BUNMI-AD-FALUYI CONSTRUCTION NIGERIA LIMITED.

Delegates from the Eket NSE were led by the Branch Chairman, Engr. Aniebiet Udoh and was accompanied by the General Secretary, Engr. Mrs. Edima Ekanem, MNSE and the Assistant Technical Secretary, Mr. Lawrence Akubue, MNSE. The purpose of the visit was to appreciate the management of the company for their contribution towards the development of the branch and specifically for the support the society received from the company during the 2018 Engineering week celebration. It was also an opportunity for the new executive of the branch to introduce and share the vision and goals of the branch, as well as to ensure continuous collaboration with the company to achieve its mandate. The Eket NSE delegates were well received by the senior management staff of BUNMI CONSTRUCTION COMPANY led by the Group Director (GD), Engr. Bunmi Johnson. In his remark, the branch chairman applauded the company’s various achievements which have built its outstanding reputation over the years, emphasizing that the company is well known for its giant strides especially in the area of capacity development and corporate social responsibility. Engr. Udoh, who made it clear that his tenure would be focusing on boosting the technical content of its activities and developing the capacity of young engineers, invited the company to join in the mission as a technical partner. He also demanded opportunities for more industrial visit at their project sites. The chairman pledged in appreciation for the support received from the company an official letter of acknowledgment would be transmitted to the company and that the branch has decided to reserve a page for the company in the 2019 calendar production.

In his response, Engr. Bunmi Johnson, who expressed his satisfaction with the gesture of the branch, pledged his continuous support for the branch especially in the area of professional development and local capacity building. He appreciated the branch for the special recognition, given to him during the last engineering week. He promised to arrange more industrial visits as requested by the chairman.
